“My Work explores the relationship between light and dark, and how colour can manipulate structures. I like my work to give the viewer just enough information that they can understand the form whilst maintaining a contemporary abstract style”
Nick's journey in the world of Fine Art is marked by a strong academic background and diverse influences. Having studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art and Design in London, he cultivated his artistic vision before moving to Bristol, where he earned a BETEC Diploma in Fine Art at the renowned Spike Island. His dedication to his craft has led him to exhibit his work in some of the most prestigious galleries across the United Kingdom and New York, highlighting his unique perspective and versatility as an artist.
Nick actively participates in major art fairs, such as Battersea and Hampstead in the UK, as well as the New York City Art Fair, where his work captures the attention of art enthusiasts and collectors alike. Nick also shows at the famous Henley festival each July.
Nick complements his artistic showcases with special exhibitions at the Henley Royal Regatta Gallery. Here, he presents rowing-themed artworks during the regatta, further connecting his passion for art with his other passion in sport and as a past winner of Henley Royal Regatta with Leander Club.
Central to Nick’s artistic philosophy is his obsession with light and water, elements that he masterfully transforms into rich colors and dynamic compositions. His use of impasto techniques allows the colors to vividly "explode" from the canvas, creating an engaging tactile experience for viewers. Recently, he has been experimenting with graffiti-style paints, blending them with traditional oil paints to forge an innovative style that bridges contemporary street art with classical techniques. This exploration not only reflects his evolution as an artist but also showcases his commitment to pushing the boundaries of his creative expression.

Interested in a painting, just ask “WHY NOT”
Dream it.
“It all begins with an idea, but the exciting part is putting those idea’s into practice. Memories are a part of what make the people we are today. They can impact our lives, direct our live’s and our future’s in all kind’s of way’s. I like to help share those memories by expressing those emotion’s with paint”.
“Sometimes’s a painting means so much more” A quote used by the owner of this work
Make it.
For me, producing a commission is about capturing a moment, by gaining an understanding with the person or people. “Freeze frame it, and tell me what it looks like”.
“Seeing people smile”
Live it.
“At the end of the day, seeing people happy, smiling and satisfied, this is what makes me enjoy painting”.
