Radiant Impressionism.
“My work examines the relationship between light and dark, focusing on the role of colour in shaping and altering structural perception. By limiting visual information, I invite the viewer to engage with form while retaining a contemporary abstract approach.”
My journey as an artist is rooted in a strong academic foundation and shaped by a wide range of influences. I studied Fine Art at the Byam Shaw School of Art and Design in London before moving to Bristol, where I completed a BTEC Diploma in Fine Art at Spike Island. These formative years allowed me to develop my visual language and establish a disciplined, exploratory approach to painting.
I have since exhibited work in galleries across the UK, New York and more recently Boston USA.
I regularly take part in major art fairs including Battersea and Hampstead in London, as well as the New York City Art Fair. Each July, I also exhibit at the Henley Festival, alongside special presentations at the Henley Royal Regatta Gallery. I also exhibit work in Boston Massachusetts.
The Henley exhibitions hold particular significance for me, allowing my painting practice to intersect with my background in sport. As a former winner of the Henley Royal Regatta with Leander Club, I often explore rowing as a subject, using it as a framework to examine movement, rhythm, and the interaction between light and water.
At the core of my practice is an ongoing fascination with light and water, and the way they fracture, reflect, and dissolve form. I work with rich, layered colour, often using impasto to create surfaces that feel energetic and tactile. More recently, I have begun incorporating graffiti-style paints alongside traditional oils, pushing my work towards a more contemporary edge while maintaining a connection to classical painting techniques. This fusion reflects my continued desire to experiment and evolve, blurring the boundaries between abstraction, structure, and expressive mark-making..
A very exciting commission for Dishoom.
Being commissioned by Dishoom was a significant milestone in my career as an artist. The painting is permanently installed in Shoreditch, London, and measures 4.5 metres high by 3 metres wide.

“It was a privilege to be invited to paint live in the Royal Stewards’ Enclosure at Henley Royal Regatta. It was also a pleasure to meet Jürgen Gröbler, one of Great Britain’s most successful Olympic rowing coaches, who is pictured here.”

Interested in a painting, just ask “WHY NOT”
Dream it.
“It all begins with an idea, but the exciting part is putting those idea’s into practice. Memories are a part of what make the people we are today. They can impact our lives, direct our live’s and our future’s in all kind’s of way’s. I like to help share those memories by expressing those emotion’s with paint”.
“Sometimes’s a painting means so much more” A quote used by the owner of this work
Make it.
For me, producing a commission is about capturing a moment, by gaining an understanding with the person or people. “Freeze frame it, and tell me what it looks like”.
“Seeing people smile”
Live it.
“At the end of the day, seeing people happy, smiling and satisfied, this is what makes me enjoy painting”.
